How are you feeling about your diagnosis now Carla? Any improvements or news?

CT scan with iv contrast came back clear.  Just going to mental health and waiting to make my next apt for blood work.  The biggest issue for me right now is just this constant state of I don't know.  And because I am so far away from my family my support is little to none.  I am trying to keep my stress level down and starting to slowly change my diet.  Staying away from processed foods and eat organically.  It's a big lifestyle change and in order for me to feel healthy I need to eat better but I do cross fit for exercise.  I just feel lonely a lot and scared.

Hi Carla...I feel so bad.  I wish there was something I could do to relieve your stress.  I was diagnosed in 2012, but had all the indications of CLL back to 2002.  I'm still on W&W.   This is a disease that you can live with for many years without treatment; and if you ever need treatment there is so much now that will help you.  You're doing the right thing by eating properly and exercising.   I would say find more to do.  Get out of the house or start a project.  Find classes to take.  All these things will take your mind off the constant thought of CLL.  This forum will help you so much because everyone here knows what you're going through.  So, decide 'no more of this worry stuff; I'm outta here to get on with my life.  Go do something fun for you.  Come here often and write your feelings.   Carole

Thank u for the words of encouragement.  After I read your response I actually did sign up for an undergraduate class that I need to have to apply for my doctoral program.  I am focusing on my transition in a few years from active duty to being retired and making sure the VA doesn't screw me..  Like they are doing to so many vets.  As each day passes I feel emotionally stronger after being diagnosed.  I am slowly starting to become less scared and just focused on good things in my life oh yeah and my future.
