No not a date with George Colony ( If only that would be so good ) Got a date for my operation its on the 8th October. So only a few more weeks to wait. I have been told I will have two more chemos after that so roll on 2013 when my life will be back to normal for a while. I say a while as I know the cancer can return and I have prepared myself for that but it wont stop me having fun. Is anyone else due to have an operation in October if yes we can compare notes, Love and Hugs to all the lovely brave ladies on this site,

Hey ladies

Hmmmm George Clooney. Yeah I'd be there - even though it would be a bit naughty as I'm a happily married lady. I think my wonderful husband would understand.

All the best for 8 October Babs. Onwards and upwards!!!!! Let us know how it goes. ... Annie

Perhaps we could aim to have the longest queue ever!!! Hahaha

Well if we have enough posts perhaps we could email said M Clooney and ask if he'd oblige.

My thoughts exactly !!! :-/ ;-) :-p

Hi Babs!

Never mind George Clooney! Much too young for me! I'll let you lot have him to yourselves!

I'll take Bill Nighy or Ronald Pickup! I was at University with Ronald and I like my men with a bit of ooomph and experience!

As for your op i will be thinking of you and wishing you well. Do remember to give yourself time to recover! They told me it takes over a year to recover fully from major surgery!

Love M xxxxxxx

Good luck with your op. My claim to fame........I know an Italian lady who's Mum and Dad live in the same village in Lake Como where George has a villa. They say he's a really nice man. Unfortunately he's not mine!!

Hope all goes well.

Hi Babs, This is the first time I've been on this site, although I have listened to a lot of the support given. You all seem such a lovely bunch. I have just got a date for my op, it's the 24th Oct, so a couple of weeks after you. Wishing you well for your op, perhaps we could swop notes.

All the best Sue! If you look at the search box at the top of the page there Re lots of old threads about preparing for operations and recovery. Hope you find something to help you on there. It won't be as bad as you are fearing, I am sure!

All the very best

Wendy, Thank you so much, that's the sort of information I need to find out. I will have a look now.

I had my op nearly ten years ago now, but if there is anything you want to ask, ask away! At the stage you're at now, I was just really wanting to get on with things and let the experts do their job. They did really well for me :-) I'm sure it will be good for you too. I have nothing but praise for the team who looked after me, and I am still in touch with our local hospital support group, which I now go along to and support in their work with newly-diagnosed women.

Good luck

Hi Chris

I stayed in Bellagio on Lake Como last summer, we were shown George's villa on a boat trip. Unfortunately no sign of George!

Hi Babs,

Yes I am having my operation on 5th Oct - hysterectomy, ovaries and omentum removed plus wash out. I haven't been diagnosed with ov but my ca125 has been 60 ish for a year and ct scan has shown bulky ovaries so I have been advised to have op as they don't really know what's going on until they look inside, apparently. Hopefully nothing is going on but if there is it needs to be sorted out ASAP.

I am humbled by the amazing ladies on here, they are so positive and such a support for each other.

Hope all goes well for you and maybe we can compare notes when we are up to it.

Love,

Trish,xx
