Update on PET Scan & hospital appointment - news better than I thought.

Hi! all you wonderful ladies out there, what would we do without each other.

PET Scan showed that cancer has not spread but is located on same site as previous two occurrencies, sitting on right kidney & ureter tube which I have a continuous stent put in every 6 months. Surgery is not an option, neither is chemo due to very low platelets & white cell count. They have decided to put me on Letrozole for 2 months as I have a high oestregen level & it is feeding the cancer cells, then another scan & if it shows that drug is working I will stay on this until as such times as it stops working for me then they will do radium treatment.

I've been battling OC for 15 years now & I'm certainly not giving up, I tend to look on this 3rd occurrence as 'just an inconvenience in my life' but not stopping me living. I do 'Creative Cancer Healing Visualisation' workshops & take people back to their childhood when they went on the Helter Skelter & laughed & screamed & had a good time as they went down it & depending on what type of cancer they have & where it is in the body there are stations that the person can go off to where the cancer is. Took my first tablet last night & when I popped it down I went into my body, saw the cells there & told them how much I loved them & I knew they loved me but they were making me ill so everytime they saw the tablet floating down they knew it was time to go. I told them I would never forget them and that they had a helter skelter down my right leg that they could have some fun on it as they left my body & out through my toes to feed Mother Earth. I can still hear them chuckling & shouting goodbye.

So all you ladies out there, get your Helter Skelter's out & do some visualisation on your bodies as I'm hoping for a good result in 2/3 months time.

I send you all hugs & xxxx's and stay positive

Iris

Hi flower by name and flower by nature, I loved this and I second everything you said. Our cancer is only small compared to us and we can fight it all the way and tell it where to go. Need to think good things or I would go loopy. I send my good wishes to everybody out there who is fighting the good fight. Big hugs. Gill

I found visualisation a powerful tool and it is offered at our hospital support group. I wonder if anyone has done any research on the effectiveness of it. Think The Penny Brohn Centre has some CDs and maybe hauses it in their courses for cancer patients. It's certainly able to calm me right down and change my mindset.

Love to you both

Hi! Roley & Wendy Dee

Sincere thanks for your comments. I've been doing this since my OC was discovered in 1997. I met a Dr.David Hamilton (not a GP but Dr. of Science) many years ago when he was only starting out with his first book called 'How the Mind can heal the body' & in my heart I do believe that book spurred me into belief that I could survive this. I have attended many workshops of his & also booked him for workshops that I run. When he was writing his 3rd book he asked if I would put pen to paper & write out in detail what my favourite visualisation was when I worked with my cancer and he put it in his book. There are other inspiring stories in it as well & I have spoken at 3 of his meetings. He teaches you 'Quantum Field Healing' going into the cells & dna etc and now has a CD out with an hours lecture & finishing up with QFH. He now lectures all over the world under Louise Hay Publications & has his own website. If you don't have any of his books, you should be able to get them in the library but definitely read the 1st one it's so inspiring with the information in it.

Time to take this magic Letrozole drug that's going to make me better & kill off the cancer cells so I'll bid all you ladies out there 'goodnight & God bless' with many hugs & xxxx's

Hi Flower!

I haven't tried visualisation but it sounds interesting. I do believe that mental attitude is so important though. Trouble with the helter skelter, as you describe it, is that a rather unfortunate experience on one at Belle Vue, Manchester, in 1942 put me off fairgrounds, rides and, especially Helter Skelters, for life!

Hi Flower, I found your original post inspiring! Thankyou for that. I have just ordered 'how your mind can heal your body' after being recommended it by a friend, it should be here tomorrow.
