Hi Daveena

Here's hoping for good news from the scan results for your Mum. We have all been in that dark place at times, and so many of us have come through it. Keep hoping, praying and let us know how she is getting on. This is a good place to share your hopes and fears. .....and triumphs ;-) There are a lot of them, too.

Here's hoping

Love, Wendy xx

Daveena, I think the worst is waiting for the results you seem in limbo not knowing, all I can say is whatever the results, try and keep your chin up for mums sake and take it a day at a time, shes lucky to have a daughter who cares so much, lets hope its good news, fingers crossed.Love Sue x

Hi Daveena. I've been thinking about whether I have anything useful to say about this. Worry can really take you over in quite a destructive way. I remember before my own surgery last year when I suspected but couldn't be sure that they'd find cancer I had my whole funeral planned. (it should be quite an event, I'm sorry I'll miss it!)

What helped? Getting out as much as I could and keeping busy, even with mundane things like ironing or clearing out cupboards. Getting started was the hardest part. I also on occasions gave myself a good talking to about the pointlessness of worrying about things where I had no control over the outcome.

I don't know if any of this helps. My thoughts are with you and your mother.

Hi Daveena

So sorry that you and your Mum are going through this, she is fortunate too have such a caring daughter and I'm sure she is very proud of you.

Personally I find spending time with those I love is the best way to get through bad times , keeping as active as practicable and having treats helps alot. I do realise your Mum is very ill at the moment , so try to make sure that any medical problems are being treated i.e. that any pain is under control etc etc.

I do hope you get good news tomorrow.

Love to you both
