Chemo is scary, no doubt about it. Many thoughts going through your mind I know. Will it work? Praying it does. Will it make me sick? Hopefully not. if your Dr gave you the anti nausea meds, take them. Hope you don't need them. I will pray for you. Please think positive, and try to stay strong. You can do this..

Well done Cazy! You’re on your way. Try to plan a little treat or something to look forward to each day.

one thing I found helpful was keeping a journal of how I felt each day. That way I knew what to expect each cycle. It is important to take the anti nausea drugs proactively. Most people have a reaction by the second or third day but I was always fine til day five, starting with shooting leg pains and then nausea and fatigue which lasted five days. Some people have minimal side effects. I hope you’ll be one of them!

As you say, Cazy, one day at a time. You can do this.

Well done Cazy. That’s the first hurdle done. I just want to advise you that constipation was my biggest problem during the first week post every chemo I had. It may not apply to you, I hope not. A solution for me was to take Movicol or Laxido if I missed a couple of days. You can buy this over the counter in chemists. You need to drink plenty of fluids too.

The constipation can be caused by Post chemo drugs and in itself, nothing to worry about, but can be very uncomfortable, and usually clears by day 7. Just look how far you have come since your first post.

That's it Cazy, one day at a time. It's not pleasant but it's soooo worth it and you just need to hold on to that.Take care,

Taking each day as it comes is the only way. Echo others to keep notes (I had anally retentive sheets for each cycle…can stop the PA working and all that 😁), take the drugs and don’t get constipated. Ondansetron is renound for it sadly as it’s a brilliant anti nausea-cancer treatment is always a give and take! Xx

So glad it was easier than you anticipated I found that also but I think I worked myself up. I’m in the states I was given 3 days of steroids to take after treatment aside from being a bit tired on day 4 I had no side effects.

How you doing? Xxx
