I was on avastin for 5 years and didn’t put weight on.

I was placed on Avastin just before NICE said you could only have it for 12 or 18 months, and I was told as long as my body could cope I could stay on it. I lasted 5years 8 months then my kidneys complained so was taken off. 8 months later I had to have operation to have a tumour removed. Now on watch and wait before having chemo, so have been very lucky. I’m now in my 11th year with cancer so think myself very lucky x

Thanks for replying that was a long time I had extreemly sore joint pains on this for only 15 months as was the trial along with taxol and chemoplatin

I have put on weight whilst on Avastin but I have put this down to inactivity due to chronic fatigue and an amount of low mood at times rather than the drug particularly.

I have thought of this and realise I should me more active but just knackered all time. 💛😴

I'm the same. Also Iam a anxious going out on my own as I had a fall and broke my leg after my first chemo due to effects on my blood pressure dropping. Scared if anything should happen again. I'll have to work on it.xx
