Happy Christmas everyone

I hope that this post finds you as well as you can be. I just want to wish you all a happy Christmas wherever and with whoever you are spending it.

I have not posted for a while after being quite unwell and discovering that there is no effective treatment left for me after 4 years. I am determined to not let this latest setback stop me from being and enjoying being me for as long as possible. Today my daughter took me out for a magnificent hot chocolate. It made my day!!!!!

Please keep spoiling yourselves lovely ladies. You deserve it 😉🌲☃️🎄

As others have said, new treatments do keep coming along, we never know how things will pan out; also how amazingly strong our (battered!) bodies are....never mind our strong spirits!

You have a wonderful, supportive family to help you, as well as those pets 🦮🐱

It would be amazing if a new treatment came along but until then we just must keep making the most of every good day. I have been quietly following you since I was diagnosed. We are similar age - I was 53 at diagnosis and now am 54. You are an inspiration, I know that's no consolation for the truly ******* awful place you are in but thankyou for your unknowing help x

Hi, I was diagnosed SEP 2019 the day after I ran the great North run, I thought it was just ibs. Stage 3c initially inoperable but lucky to get surgery in Feb on my daughter's birthday at same hospital she was born. Big debulking, like all ladies on here - 11 hours and spleen removed. Chemo and Avastin, nearly finished the Avastin but ca125 on rise so scan asap to see what's what. I think when I read your profile I felt I identified with you, similar age, really lovely lovely husband, 2 wonderful adult children- a very blessed life until this ****** came along. Anyway like you trying to enjoy life I still have many many good things in it and compared to many am very lucky. I really hope you have the best Christmas you can in the circumstances and as I say you are an inspiration. Xxx
