New chemo regime , hello All I’m starting my 3rd go round with chemo in 18 months😢.

The 2 new drugs are Doxil and Avastin, wondering if anyone who has had these meds if you can tell me if you lost your hair?? And what side effects to expect!

Any and ALL responses would be appreciated!! 🙏🏻 thx

Hi. No advice on Doxil but I trialled Avastin back in 2007/08. he main side effects for me were joint pain, blocked/snuffly nose, nose bleeds and high bp. Having said all that it did give me nearly 4.5 years before recurrence. I wish you nothing but the very best and hope your treatment goes well. Big hug, Kathy xx

Hi. Avastin doesn't make you lose your hair and doxil I guess can but usually just causes some thinning. I'm on it too but only one treatment two weeks ago. They said hair loss occurs 3-6 weeks from first dose. I hope neither of us loses it!

Hi, I did this regimen for about a year. Initially had reduction then kept me stable for a while. Eventually I came off it due to side effects. My hair was OK most of the time then I gradually noticed thinning especially toward the end. Keep in mind I was on it for longer than most. Best wishes D
