Wow, I have really not been active at all its been 5 years since my last post so sorry guys I feel ive neglected you all :( I have been keeping well and so much has happened/changed in the last 5 years. I have had 3 different jobs and I have moved from Cambridge to Bristol 1 year ago!! Down to my health I have been having my MRI scans yearly and everything seemed to have been clear up until today... I had my results back and it shows sign of a small nodule on the top of my vaginal wall, I have been booked in for my CT scan in three weeks and my new Gynaecologist in Bristol is so so lovely and has been very supportive and understanding with me and everything I have been through. I feel very strong mentally but I was really hoping that was it but its not all negative I am still here living life and keeping as healthy and happy as can be. I know it only sounds very minor compared to other peoples situation's but I feel no one understands more than all the lovely strong people I can relate to on here.

Jasmine, whatever it is you've found it early! If confined to small area you might be able to have it surgically removed. Can you get your CT scan moved up earlier? See if your doctor can speed that up for you! Keep in touch. Warm, gentle hug to you. 🥰❤🧝‍♀️🍀

Hi Tesla, Thank you <3. I am still awaiting my appointment for my CT scan and once I have that done they can decide whether they will go in and operate. Ive recently started a new job and had to talk with them about potential time off soon for surgery. Just a huge inconvience as I am in Bristol on my own (with partner) but don't have any family support here :( but im sure it will all work out in the end. xx

I’m sorry this bugger has raised its ugly head again. It is small and hopefully you will be treated very quickly. Make sure you keep on pushing your team for quick results.

In the meantime do your best to enjoy yourself.

Jasmine I had a reoccurrence March 18,1 nodule 2cm attached to my vaginal wall and cells under the right side of my diaphragm. I had an upper vagectomy and went back on Platinum/ Taxol.

I am doing well at the moment my strength building each day.

Sending you virtual hugs.

Ohh what a bugger!! I wish they would just leave us alone ayyy..!!! I am glad your strength is building and you get stronger day by day. Why have they given you Platinum/ Taxol? xx

I responded well to Carbo/ Taxol the first time around, I was NED for 14 months prior to recurrence.

Welcome back Jasmine, you have done so well over the last 5 years!

I can’t understand how these horrid little cells can hide & then suddenly appear?! Your new Consultant sounds good....I’m sure that you will receive good treatment.

(I also have nodules....but they’ve remained the same between scans so no treatment at the moment).

Best wishes,

Linda xoxo

Hi Linda, How are you doing?? I am hoping they will go in for surgery and remove whatever I have as I just don't like the thought of them sitting inside of me but I also understand having surgery means time out and off work just didn't want to keep putting my life on hold. I am currently experiencing pains every day and I feel they have got worst this last month. Are they checking up on you every 6 months? xx

Hi again Jasmine,

I’m checked every 3 months - CT & CA125 level.

I haven’t got any symptoms, which is good.

I can understand that you want them out! See what your team think. Keep an eye on your symptoms, maybe keep a record to show the Cons at your next appointment.

Wishing you all the best,

Linda xx

Hi, I am 5 years out and have a check end of October, so I know how you feel as I would, but we are both being monitored and you are caught early.

My opinion is, we have done this once with fantastic results, we can do it again, with the same.

There are so many options down to you, we are all in it together,

Love,

Carole xx

HI Carole, I hope you are well. I really wish you the best with your check up :). I am still waiting for my CT scan and I will know a little more once this has happened. I am hoping it is small but also big enough to removed as I would just like to be cancer free completely for once in my life :(. I am staying as positive as I can, I just find everyday struggles even tougher now especially being away from family. You are right we have got through this before and definitely experienced the worst already. I know we have both got this and we are going to be ok. I don't want to become a burden to anyone. I go from feeling very happy and strong to feeling teary and weak which I know is normal to have these emotions. I also find CBD oil very good for my anxieties and tummy pains xx

Oh Jasmine...that’s a bugger when you must have thought you were clear after 5 years. I am 4 years without it coming back but a friend had hers return at almost 5 years. With any luck you will get another long remission after your treatment xx

Hello Lyndy,

I know :( I also knew there was a chance of it returning but I was hoping not so soon after my last recurrence in 2014. 3 years after my first diagnoses in2011. So here we are 5 years on and the naughty little bugger I believe is back and is trying to tarnish my new job !!! I am currently feeling in a state to take some time off work but also continue on as normal as I can I am pretty confused some days but I am sure It will figure out in the end xx

It’s just so good to hear from a lady who has had 5 years grace. Good luck with the next step

Love Angela xx
