If you are referring to using sodium bicarbonate as part of an alkaline diet please be aware that this has been discredited and can be dangerous if taken to extreme.

Best wishes

Plenty of stuff elsewhere on the internet, youtube particularly - google 'bicarbonate of soda and cancer' and see what comes up. Regardless, it does not cure cancer - if it did, we'd all be doing it and not needing any other treatment. What it can do is temporarily combat mild acidosis, help with indigestion and alter the ph of your urine so that it is alkaline when excreted, but it will not change the ph of your blood nor your body's tissues (whether they are cancerous or not), because you'd die if it did. Whch is why, taken to excess, people have become ill...

You will probably read or hear that you should buy ph strips to test your urine with to make sure your 'body is alkaline' - don't waste your money, all that will tell you is whether your urine is acid or alkaline, it does not reflect the ph of the rest of the body; note that if your body became alkaline, you'd be dead. But if you want to take half a teaspoon mixed in water with some lemon juice in the mornings an hour or two before you eat, and even another dose before bed, two hours after you finish eating, it will likely do no harm.

As the other two ladies have said the practice of using large amounts of bicarbonate could potentially be very dangerous.

There are many ‘crock’ theories that we get to see here on a scarily fairly regular basis and each one has to be researched really really deeply before even contemplating adopting the practice and then we should always seek professional medical advice before going any further with it. Many schemes and theories are promoted by people who have motives that many of us believe are in their own interests and not ours and also many of these claims are aimed at vulnerable people, which we are when given our diagnosis, with the aim of influencing our life choices and which have a profit margin at the bottom of it all. Our oncologists should always be our first line of advice should we think of changing the way we deal with our health during cancer. ❤️Xx Jane

You are right there’s is a credible research on bicarbonate but can’t remember where I read it.

It was very scientifically explained but as usual more research is needed.
