Another reprieve

Hi lovelies

It’s been a while since I posted on here, again I’ve been busy living, working and being grateful. I write this post not to brag (I could never do that), but to let newly diagnosed ladies know what is possible. Almost 3 years ago I thought my life was almost over. I used to live to read posts like mine, it gave me hope.

I had my 3 monthly check again this week and it’s good news yet again. CA125 sitting at 9. Seen the Oncology Surgeon this time. He’s usually quite negative and bangs on about it coming back. This time he was very smiley and positive telling me that I’m doing amazing and that he’s very happy. This brings me to almost 2 .5 years in first line remission from 3c hgs. I’m so humble and grateful for this extended time. I told him how grateful I was that he carried out radical surgery and we shared a teary hug.

It feels so lucky. I’m never under any illusions that it could be waiting around the corner to recur at anytime but I walked out on air today . Just in time for my 60th Birthday holiday to USA and Canada including a cruise around Alaska on the QE3.

Massive love to all of you

Marian xxx

Oooh! Where abouts in Canada are you visiting? Hubby and I had such a wonderful touring holiday there the year before we had kids. I absolutely adored it.

Fantastic news about your appointment!

So Happy for you Marian. Not taking it for granted is so great--you enjoy each day even more and the plans you are making will surely be ongoing celebrating!. We did a cruise around Alaska 2 years ago, about 5 months after I completed Frontline chemo and it was fabulous! One of our best. Enjoy all you do and thank you for the wonderful update! Hi Judy

I’m so excited I’m giddy about Alaska particularly.... did you see any Whales?? I’m hopeful xx

Maxjor profile image
Maxjor in reply to MH500

Yes lots of whales. They tailed the ship even though the ship does not dump food (which is why I think they would follow). We also took side excursions when the boat would dock in different ports and one was whale watching which we went on. Saw a couple close up but mant more orchas. The glaciers are truly breathtaking too!!

Dear Marian

I am sitting here having my last chemo for a 3c diagnosis in January reading your lovely post. So great to hear how well your are doing after a similar diagnosis. Thank you for taking the time to let us all know.

Hi Jane

Aww what a fantastic day for you, last chemo. I hope you have reached remission and can launch back into life and enjoy yourself. The first 6 months after diagnosis are so tough. We go through so much in a short space of time. Big hugs xx

Marian,

I see in your profile you were on the Care Oncology protocol. Are you still taking their subscribed medicines?

Glad you are doing terrific!

MH500 profile image
MH500 in reply to

Hi, yes I’m still on it. In all honesty I have no idea if it’s helping or not. I also take lots of well researched supplements. My feeling is is that I’d be mad to stop xx

in reply to MH500

Thanks for the info. I too am seeing an integrative doctor whom has me on many supplements and redo drugs. I don’t know if helping but praying so. Are you taking mistletoe injections?

MH500 profile image
MH500 in reply to

No I’ve never gone for the mistletoe. I take high strength ginger, beta glucans, boswellia serrata Akbar)frankincense), oregano oil, omega 3, bromelain, broccoli sprout extract, pine bark extract, delta fraction trocotrienols and a few more. X

in reply to MH500

Thanks. Hope it stays away for you forever!
