Hi all,
Looking for postive stories about remissions after recurrence?? Anyone have a long remission ?
Hi Dollie currently over 5 years tho am on trial for Olaparib. 11 years this month since diagnosis despite 2 recurrences. currently NED, ca125 under 3 xx
Hi Dollie
I was dx in 2009 with stage 3a clear cell, had TAH and 6 rounds carbo/taxol.
I was clear for 2 years then a spot was found on my liver, this was taken out ( big op) and was clear for another 2 years. Then found recurrence in the abdo lymph glands, so they were taken out, along with the bile duct. At the moment, have been clear for 4 years... counting down to retirement ( 40 weeks and counting) and I figure I have very, very lucky!

Bugger. Think I just lost what I typed - start again.
Very happy to tell you this Dollie:
I was diagnosed almost 7 years ago, 3C. First remission lasted 18 months. Then went on Carbo/Caelyx along with Avastin as a clinical trial drug. Caelyx got me this 2nd remission and Avastin, as maintenance, has kept me there to date. Best wishes. Pauline.
Wow Pauline, that is fantastic !!! Well done. That gives me great hope. I wish you many many more years of remission and good health. Thank you for taking the time to reply to me message. D
Hi I was diagnosed in 2012 stage four ovarian cancer. I have had different chemos over that time and have remissions ofeighteen moonths and nearly two years, currently on parp inhibitor for maintenance Best wishes Pam x
Hi, Dollie. Thank you for asking that question. I have been meaning to ask. I just wrapped up my first recurrence after 3 yrs. I was Stage 3.
Clear Scan in August and now on Zejula for maintenance!
Wishing you the best!
Marisa
Hi Dollie,
My clear cell daignosed as stage 3c in May 2011 so TAH + carb/taxol 21 day cycle. Recurrence in para-aortic lymph nodes in Jan 2013 - another major op + weekly dose-dense carb/taxol + avastin. Now 5 years since last chemo...but think it was the operation that cut out the clear cell that has been my 'saviour'.
Warmest wishes for good health and happy days for as long as you can. Lesley
