I have a drain tube in and drains each day. Let me know how the talc procedure goes. I heard it was painful but most times successful.

Hi Trish, It sounds like your drain is a different procedure than what I had described (thoracentisis) in a previous response. Do you have a chest tube? If so, I hope it is removed soon, as I know they are rigid and uncomfortable (I also had one of those after a VATS procedure). Please let us know how the talc procedure goes. I’ve had a Pleurx catheter for some time (now just draining small amounts of clear fluid at home weekly) and they’ve mentioned possibly removing it and doing the talc procedure. Best wishes that all goes well for you and you get home soon 😊

xx Gina
