Following on from a post about the benefits associated with consuming papaya/paw paw i mentioned that for years now I have used this Paw Paw balm for all manners of things (it really is magic)....a topical treatment for dry lips, burns, chafing, cuts and grazes, cracked skin, splinters, open wounds, insect bites and rashes. It used to only be available in Australia but you can now buy it in the UK (direct or via Amazon)...

Happy damn Thursday everyone! Just off to see my Onc for my 3-monthly check. Feeling well (should be as I’ve swum nearly 44 miles this month as part of a personal challenge I have set myself for charity) but I am suffering horrendous hot flushes, which I want to discuss with her! 🤞🏻

You won’t be disappointed Janet! Two tubes will last a long time too so value for money 😊👍🏻 x

I had horrendous hot and cold flushes after front line so I started acupuncture and within a week they stopped. Only trouble was, when I stopped acupuncture they came back. This word ‘maintenance’ has several meanings whereby this disease is concerned. Have a great day! When are you next off on your travels? X

Thanks Sarah...I’ll keep that in mind once I’ve had my bloods back. My Onc thinks some of my symptoms (hot flushes, fatigue etc) might be down to thyroid. We will see.

I am off back to South Africa next week. My husband and I have supported an orphanage and nursing home over there and we are looking forward to seeing the developments whilst enjoying some down time too in our happy place 😊 it’s also my bday next month and after losing my dear Mum over 4 years ago now, I prefer to escape over the run up to Xmas (it also forces me to get organised early too...so all my Xmas shopping and cars writing had already been done!) 😁👍🏻 xx

I had similar symptoms after I finished first line everyone kept saying it was side effects from treatment, After acouple of visits to gp he tested blood for thyroid and dx with hyperthyroidism.

I am on Carbimazol anti thyroid medication and it’s made a big difference. Enjoy your time with hubby in your happy place.

Hi Lovely, thanks for your response. I'm glad you're feeling better having identified you have hyperthyroidism...I don't know whether these tests will show anything but i'm glad they are being done either way. And thanks...off on Thurs :) Can't wait! xx
