365 Days!

Afternoon one and all.

On this day last year I was having my debulking operation - I wasn’t sure I’d be here the next day let alone a year later, but here I am, chemo and Avastin later and feeling pretty good! I’ve been able to do all the things I did before - grannying, horse riding (see above!!), Pilates, skiing and just generally rushing around (oh and chasing burglars - see previous posts!). We’ve had a some kind of holiday every month this year too. I wanted to share this for all the other folk in the same position as I was last year - live life to the fullest you can!

Best wishes to all - the support here is exceptional second only to that of my real family!!

Ali x

You are looking great & obviously keeping busy which is good. Long may this continue for you.

I had my hysterectomy 2 Nov. 2015 followed by chemo & brachytherapy which finished in March 2016. My diagnosis was stage2 grade3 serous & sofar so good.

Take care & keep enjoying life. Love Caledaxxx

Fantastic post , great pic and so inspirational. Love the idea of a holiday every month ! I am also coming up to a year since debulking surgery and getting my life back . Can totally relate to the uncertainty of not knowing what would happen before the big op.

Wow! A lot can happen in a year and amazing how our bodies can heal after such big surgery . Haven't ridden a horse since getting pregnant with my daughter almost 21 years ago . Maybe I'll give it a go . Makes my getting back to the gym and Zumba look a bit tame lol .

Stay well and as you say live life to the full. Love and best wishes Kim x 💜

It's so good to read posts like this, in particular to those ladies who have only been recently diagnosed and are feeling despondent!

Enjoy all your holidays in the future -it's a fantastic way of feeling normal!

Hi Ali, Love your photo so glad that a year later from surgery you are feeling well, posting this does help especially for the new ladies to the site who are scared and worried about the future.

I was diagnosed 3 years ago and still here not always easy but as you said live life to the fullest.

Take care Lorraine xx
