And now I am on hormone therapy , they don’t want to do surgery at this time.

Confused to say the least.

They said it was highly unlikely as too near to vital organs

That is confusing, Zena. Do you think your CNS might be able to explain what's going on? I hope you can get some answers soon xxx

I know vicki I cried didn’t take anything in. My mum did.

My ca125 had gone from 111 too 140 after third chemo. And he said chemo hadn’t shrunk but this new therapy has good outcome.

Oh bless you 🙁 There are options out there for low grade, and there are a couple of trials too. I hope your CNS can help you more. Xxx

Hi Zena Don’t give up asking questions until you know exactly what the plan is. Sometimes I think our specialists, despite working with so many people, don’t realise how difficult it is to deal with uncertainty. Having said that we are all living with uncertainty for the rest of our lives. I just think they should do all they can to reduce the stress that this causes. Hope you get an explanation soon about what is happening. Only then can you have a go at coping with it. My thoughts are good wishes plus a virtual hug are on the way. X

I can’t believe it has taken them this long to diagnose you with low grade. I have low grade cancer it is more difficult to treat with chemotherapy because it grows more slowly. Did they say if you have been tested for oestrogen receptors? Please do ask if you have any questions. I am Stage IV but I have been living with it for 6 yrs

Hello, the dr said my samples biopsies had been re examined by all MRI team and there scientists after recent reactions to taxol and caelyx also ca125 dramatically lowering but no evidence of shrinkage at all. ....

so the next step hormone therapy to stop feeding the cancer oestrogen also a tablet daily taxofen I think it is.

Tamoxifen fingers crossed it will work for you. You might feel a bit sick for the first few days and it will cause hot flushes and make you feel a bit dry down below. It might also cause some joint and muscle pain but it’s much easier to deal with than chemo

I wonder if it might be an idea to seek a second opinion regarding the biopsy results. It sounds as if there is room for doubt regarding the diagnosis. It can't hurt even if the opinion is the same, at least you'll know you are now going down the right road.

Hi Zena,

I would seek a second opinion on the issues you mention. Good luck.

I hope your CNS can help with your questions and get you some clarity on what has been thrown at you, maybe a second opinion could be an option?

Sending big hugs ❤️

So sorry to hear this Zena. I can imagine how confusing it all is. I find these appointments so stressful. I just don't get it!!! How did they manage to make an incorrect diagnosis? Hope you get some answers soon, and maybe a second opinion is warranted? Thinking of you......Kim xx
