Who's been sleeping in my bed?

Top 'o the mornin' to yers all.

Now, I know I have chemo brain at the moment and am more scatty than normal but I KNOW that a short haired creature has been sleeping on my pillow all night. The evidence was there for me to see when I woke up. I couldn't see the blighter anywhere though. Then, it got worse. When I pulled back the bed covers there - in the middle of my spot - were the remains of another animal - or maybe it was the same one. This time the hair was curly and a bit bunched together.

I looked up, under and all around but I can't find this creature anywhere. It must look a bit like the photo above. Do you think I am now hallucinating? Please don't say that there's no hope for me ....... :-)

Have a fabulous day girls. Things can only get better. Well, they can't get any flipping worse for a lot of us.

Love and hugs

Kryysy--I think he's on to the next house in need of his shedding--sounds like he might be done at yours.

Thank you for the smile! It really does help to have a sense of humor through much of this illness. Yours in intact in case you had any doubts with your chemo brain. I'll be on the lookout for him--maybe if caught, he will stop!!!

I think when you find this creature, you should take him to the dentist.......

My dogs think my new hair (wig) is such a creature! At a cost of €400 It wouldn't be funny if they got it. 😕

Best get a backup ordered toute suite Mary. Having had a lurcher in the past I know what they are like. Chase anything small and hairy. Oops..... xxxx

Don't jest! I was painting my bedroom (I erroneously thought after my operation I'd have to receive visitors in bed and so I wanted to spruce things up a bit). I was up the stepladder when it dawned on me I might get paint on my wonderful straight-haired wig and so threw it onto the bed. The next time I looked, it wasn't there and at the same time I realised my little cocker spaniel was being quite unusually quiet. He was downstairs under the dining room table, busily restyling it, but without the necessary skills. He was black and the wig, silver. It looked as if he was attacking an animal there. I had a mere 45-minutes with a pair of kitchen scissors before collecting granddaughter from ballet to do something with this wig. And I didn't have the necessary skills either.

No-one said anything but it really didn't look right. I had to order another identical one but it took a while to come.

Hi January,

It may not surprise you to learn that I have started saving all these comical stories as you have planted a seed in my head. All will be revealed after I've done some market research etc. but a clue is something I said here a week or so back and didn't think anything more of it until a friend encouraged me. I'm just so pleased that I have helped to unlock the lighter side of our illness as it's laughter that keeps us strong.

Now I've given you a hint you'll be pressing me I guess but I think you are clever enough to know what I may get up to next year some time.

So pleased we can all have a laugh together. It keeps me sane.

Love and hugs xxxx

So funny, thank you Krissy - and the replies about dogs and wigs too - my terrier tried to climb onto my dressing table to get mine, caught in the act!

I'd love to hear more wig and pet stories. Anyone had theirs snatched off by a curious child? Only wore mine for the first time yesterday while I went to the supermarket so people wouldn't stare at me and then thought people were staring because I had a wig. Doh!
