Nintedanib Trial

I went to see my Oncologist this week to see if I could continue Chemo following my recent colostomy. As I am clear cell she suggested I my be suitable for the Nintedanib (NiCCC) trial. I am going back to see my Oncologist next week to discuss further. Has anyone been on this trial?

I am on a trial for pembrolizumab

It is working for me and one gets the best of bring looked after and scans . .

I would recommend going on a trial .

I also went on a trial after my kidney cancer . At least you will be monitored.

Very Best wishes Val

I look at the monitoring as a positive as even if I don't get the new drug but get the chemo I will still be monitored. I have lots of questions for my Oncologist.

So do I. It's the one thing that is bothering me, taking weeks to get accepted when I really need treatment asap as my cancer is on the move again

Thanks Emilee this sounds very positive. I reoccurred in Feb but had to stop chemo due to having a colostomy. My worry is the length of time it will take to get a decision as I could do with treatment sooner rather than later but I really feel I want to go for it

Hi Emilee

An ostonomy is an awful thing to cope with along side cancer isn't it? I had emergency surgery 8 weeks ago and I am still feeling sore. I only had 3 out of 6 chemo before the blockage. I am looking at starting the 6 sessions again or the trial. I am struggling with back pain when I walk due to posture so I go to a local hospice for physio and a massage, it is really helping.

I will have a look at your website as I do think gentle movements do help. Good to hear that you are doing well xxx
