Finished Avastin.....but

Hi Ladies...

I finished my 18th Avastin on 7th March but for the past 4 days I’ve had diarrhoea and constant stomach ache, this I did have after Avastin infusion.

I’m taking Buscopan for stomach cramps but this isn’t helping at all.

Has anyone experienced this after finishing treatment and can suggest what I could do? My CA125 is 4....Thanks, Michelle

Hi Michelle

I also had a weird stomach during and a bit after Avastin. It seemed to come on for no reason. I started eating bio yogurt and other things that help your microbes get back to normal ..so once you feel a bit better that might be worth a try xx

Might you just have a plain old, boring stomach upset? If it's been going on for 4 days, maybe give your GP a call if it doesn't settle?

Hi Michelle, sorry to hear you are not feeling the best, as Yosh has said, hope it is just a boring tummy upset, like you I have finished avastin the end of June , so every ache and pain seem worse,

Hi Loren it's the new norm for us ladies! I didn't have any symptoms at the beginning, it was my mini-trampoline that made me go to the Dr who then said I had IBS.. now I'm told listen to my body.. now if that's a bizarre statement then I don't know... Yes paranoia kicks in! Hope all is good and congrats on finishing treatment. Michelle x

Great news on your Ca results. I've never been on evastin I notice if I have small meals my stomach feels better than eating a large meal. My stomach has been a mess since the chemo and stomach wash chemo. Mostly constipated. I also eat yogurt seems to help.
