I haven't posted on here for a while but thought I'd check in with my news both good and bad. Unfortunately the cancer has grown quite extensively now in my liver, peritoneum and a nodule in spine. I've just started 9 th line Chemo which has really affected me badly this time as my liver is struggling. Not sure how much longer I'll keep going with Chemo or the liver function will allow anyway. Of course I'm scared about how I will be if I stop and doubt that i would last v long. I just wish that assisted dying was legal. The good news is that I'm getting married today after nearly 20 years with my partner. It's been v hastily organised but had help from family and friends and hoping for a good day with afternoon tea at our house after registry office. I'm in the choir at our local cancer support centre, Beechwood and some of the choir are coming so we can have a few songs.

I'm sorry to hear about your treatment lately. Let's hope this chemo does the trick. I was wondering if you've thought about one of the inhibitor trials? Some of them are giving astonishing results for other cancers at least and I hear trials are ongoing for Ovarian. Maybe they'd be easier on your liver.

Oh my how lovely that your getting married! I did just the very same thing back in 2013 after 12 years of living together. We decided to do this while I was still in treatment, and we said that we would not let 'cancer' spoil what turned out to be the most wonderful day! I wish you a fantastic wedding filled with love and blessing!

When we married after 33 years together , all our friends asked if we had given it enough thought ! Four years ago , with the cancer on the gallop , and in the middle of chemo , we did the deed . Use your wedding to celebrate your twenty years together , and have a splendid day . Tomorrow is another day . Xxx
Iwasn't expected to live more then six months ....it will be our fourth anniversary in February . You have been so amazing over the years , such a role model . Keep singing for as long as you can xxxx
Francesca, only just saw your post so you'll be married now! I hope you had a wonderful day, and I love the thought of your choir serenading you both.
It's hard not to be scared from time to time and also keeping up a brave face for loved ones can also take a toll. 9th line - you're an inspiration to others even if you don't feel like you are one yourself. There is a lot of love and masses of good wishes and strength flying your way I hope that you can feel even a small part of it.

Your post was so honest and mixed and I could feel what you are feeling but you seem such a positive lady to be doing this amazing thing with the person you love, for now, focus on today and your wonderful wedding and I hope it is the day of your dreams. I don't know if you can share pictures with us but if not, then don't worry. We will imagine you in your fairytale dress! Your loved ones around you all wishing you well and happiness. Hi Francesca, I am just reading your post now, Congrats on your wedding and I wish you both well. I hope the day went well. I am sorry you are back on treatment, imagine the ninth regime. I do hope you will tolerate it well and that you will get benefit and a good quality of life for quite some time yet.

I've read many of your posts and found courage to carry on from them over the past couple of years, and I hope whatever you decide to do about chemo that you will feel at peace and know that you've done everything to live your life well and for a long time with this cursed illness. But for now enjoy Christmas with your family and lovely grandkids. . I long to see grandchildren but I don't know if it is likely as my children are only 19 and 20 and not ready for that for a few years yet!! but I know I am already blessed to have two beautiful children and will enjoy every minute of this festive season with them and my husband.
