Hi D it's such a relief to know that research is picking up for OC, it seems to be a cancer that has had a very low profile in the past and doesn't seem to be the case anymore, down to our teal sisters Campaigns.

Things are improving

Hi Hogwarts, I found this report easier to understand than some I have found myself. All we can do is wait & hope for better treatments & this report looks promising. Thank you for sharing it with us. Take care Cindyxx

Very interesting, thanks for sharing. I hadn't seen that.

Mind you the word PARP still makes me laugh! I know it's my childish sense of humour!!!

Thanks. It's good to know there are new treatments being developed. It makes me want to hang on so I have the chance to benefit from them.

Thanks for sharing! I wonder if we also need to push for better emergency treatment for blockages..it seems that they are really debilitating and can delay chemo. L x

Thank you for posting this. It is very interesting. My father has long talked about olaparib and it's success. He lives in France and it is used there. It is sad that the UK treatments are so far behind those of Europe but at least this might be coming to the fore now and helpfully be available to more women. The more we share information, the better..thank you sharing this.

This is very interesting D and very hopeful for us. Gosh you were a very busy lady for the weekend. Lovely to meet you again and we will see what comes from Saturday. Hope you got home safely

Thanks for sharing! Great news! My understanding is that there hasn't really been an improvement in overall survival rates for the past 30 years (although I know many on this forum have been living with OC for over 5 year). This was encouraging news. It's about time they focused on Ovarian Cancer more than they have been in the past. Kim xo
