Hi Ladies, I had 6 cycles of avastin with chemo which I finished the 19th October and never had much side effects other than achey joints, but I recieved my 7 avastin on Wednesday and have had really bad tummy pain since, worried I may have to stop the avastin, has anyone had this problem...

Hi Lorent yes me. Get some Buscpan this helps with stomach cramps. I'm on no. 12 of Avastin and every time I have cramps. Big hugs Love Michelle xx
Thanks Michelle , hope you are doing well, how long do the cramps last, I am due to go back to England to spend time with the children and grandchildren on the 15 th dec, and due to have avastin the day before, don't want to spend the time feeling rough😕

I had Avastin on Thursday and they started quite bad today. Normally it's been about 5 days after infusion... so I'd say a week having stomach cramps and then they settle down. I am feeling quite sick with it too which is ongoing until the next treatment in 3 weeks. I'll put up with it as long as it's doing it's job! Also get headaches and do drink lots of water. Coming to UK for Christmas sounds lovely and something to look forward too. Let me know how you get on. Love Michelle xx
I get headaches too. I find I wake up with them and they slowly wear off. I get tummy cramps about two days after infusion for a week. I get stiff lower back from time to time. I too will put up with it as long as it's doing its job x
Thankyou Tracy, yes I seem to have the back pain also, but thank god no headaches , i feel better knowing I am not alone with these symptoms, I was worried that it may be stopped, but as you and Michelle have said, as long as it is doing its job I can put up with pain 😉, Hope all is good with you

Hi Lorent, I also got tummy cramps which have now gone since I finished treatment. I would bring immodium around with me just in case, In fact whatever is in the Avastin didnt agree with the the drink for the ct scan as used be in same boat then as well.
