Hello lovely people,

I hope you are all doing well. I thought about you often whilst I was away and checked in every now and then when wi-fi allowed!

I'm pleased to report i'm 7 weeks post op and never felt stronger. I felt so fortunate to have been able to fulfill my planned trip to South Africa and my Lord was it good for the soul! Almost after a few days, it was like the summer was a distant memory. After the first week I became less and less sore jumping on and off the jeeps and by the end of the trip, i'd almost forgotten completely I'd had such a big op so recently.

I want to catch up with everyone's news now I'm back and running around like a loon again, but in the meantime, I just wanted to send a little squeeze to you all from me.

Big kiss, Jemima xx

Good to hear from you, your holiday sounds fantastic and all credit to you and your recovery being able to fully enjoy all your holiday experiences. Your photo is very good, you look great...very fresh and relaxed and may I also cheekily say I love your obelisk too! Reminded me to sort another one out for our new patio area and new beds at the bottom of our garden!

Take care

Jemima. It's good to hear from you again , feeling strong and looking great. I love your description of jumping on and off jeeps ! Maybe all our oncologists should prescribe an adventure holiday as part of the healing process. Welcome back.

So glad you enjoyed good old SA xxx

Wonderful news, Jemina. Keep your spirits high and pretend you are jumping in and out of Safari jeeps even if the reality is shopping trolleys at Tesco! My cancer is back again , twice as large and uglier. My onco is devastated, particularly as I am not well either. Can't attend my son's wedding in London next week as I am incarcerated in hospital ( no complaints, it is 5 star! Everything is graded in Dubai!) My darling sister Nicky will fly here with her husband to ensure I don't go belly dancing while Simon attends the wedding. Nicky and I will wear our glad rags and do a quick Skype hallo. Anything more than that is way too technical and will culminate in scenes of 64 year old knees, the inside of an elbow or a delightful view of a nostril. Stay well, may the S. African memories keep you warm. Lots of love xxx

Oh Hun I'm so so sorry to hear this news :( and such a shame you'll be missing the wedding but thank goodness for Skype!! I'm pleased to hear you're at least, comfortable in hospital and that you've got family rallying around. You are in my thoughts xxx

Hello Taprobane!

I am interrupting your conversation with Mrs A but I just wanted to say I am sorry to hear you are ill and missing your sons wedding. As Mrs A said we are lucky with modern technology that allows us to be so close when we are far away! I hope you feel better soon! You have an amazing sense of humour and hopefully that, along with your sister (I have 3 of them and I don't know where I would be without them!) will get you through!

All the best!

D, I have 3 sisters tooπŸ€—πŸ€—πŸ€— . Wonderful, wonderful women. Marrie and Debbie have promised to stand in for me at the wedding like good, Arabic wives and walk behind Simon ululating with joy, not a sign of a hanky with a blob of spit with which to remove smuts from Sam's cheeks. Sam is grateful for small mercies. Xxx

I am sorry you are unwell at present but modern technology will help you be there with your son. It is nice to have family be with you in hospital on this day. You are so lucky to have wonderful sisters. I sincerely hope that you will be well enough to return home soon and plan a visit to see your son in the not too distant future, sending you a virtual hug

So glad you had an amazing time. I'm off to Lanzarote in two weeks time. I was there 10 months ago when I first started to feel unwell. This time, after a difficult journey, I'm going to enjoy every minute. X

A holiday is better than any meds sometimes. Glad you enjoyed yourself, and glad you are feeling so strong. You look fabulous.

Hi there, it does seem you are getting your mojo back. I am delighted you had a fab holiday. I think we appreciate Holidays a lot more when we have been ill. So rest after your holidays and build your strenght, you are doing very well
