On Sunday 4 September 2016 we will be celebrating our 20th anniversary by recreating the historic ride from London to Windsor which took place in September 1996 and marked the launch of Ovacome.
We would like you to celebrate with us by entering the cycle or joining us for the after bike ride get together at Alexandra Gardens.
Our event ‘Teal Wheels’ will be starting at Richmond Green and finishing at Alexandra Gardens in Windsor where there will be entertainment, food stalls, beer tent, music and sports massage.
There is a choice of routes, which take you through the pretty villages of the Thames Valley to Alexandra Gardens in Windsor. There’s a 55 and 37 mile on- road route or a shorter 29 miles, which includes some towpaths. The short route has a family option through Windsor Great Park to the finish. The shortest route is said to be suitable for anyone who enjoys a reasonably active life. The pace is gentle and the terrain flat to undulating. Then enter the number of participants you want to register in the ‘TEAM’ entry box.
Then click ‘NEXT’. At this point a window on the same page will open – click on the ‘SELECT YOUR TEAM’, it will open a drop down menu.
Choose ‘OVACOME’ which is at the top of the menu.
Then click ‘JOIN’, it will then take you through the normal registration process, but you will have joined Team Ovacome.
The fee for a place is £19.50, and it goes to the event’s organiser and should you wish to raise money for Ovacome, sponsorship forms are available from our office.
