Just wanted to share with you my last chemo 6th is today! At the time of diagnosis in December I was shocked as had no symptoms, bulk surgery end of December told its 3C never felt so ill, still had part of the tumour on my bladder that couldn't be cut out and here I am after this arduous journey of being pumped with poison and all the nasty side-effects the goal has been reached! 😊 My next chapter is 12 cycles of Avastin and a CT scan at the end of it. My CA125 before surgery was 700 and is now 5...I'm assured all drugs are and have worked... I would like the CT but I'm told this stresses too many patients and best to wait. I cannot thank the consultants and nurses for all the support and care I have received with a few admissions on the way.. The NHS has been brilliant. I'm having a party for my birthday in July because I feel for me I have something to celebrate and share with my family and friends for all their love and support... just wanted to share with you ladies that as much as its a shock and all the emotions we all go through, the journey is worth it and there's light at the end of the tunnel. Woohoo Michelle! It's a great day last Chemo in a few weeks it will be a distant memory and you will look back and wonder how you got through it but you did and Fairplay to you!!!!!
My BDay is in July too and you are so right I didn't really rate BDAYs before and used to ignore them really but now I will relish each and every one and hope to have many many more to come!!! I wish the same for you!!!

Fantastic and really inspiring. Im going to have a thank you party at the end of all this for my amazing family and friends and ive never had a party before only at my wedding. My op is on monday and you have given me hope that even if all tumour cannot be removed all is not lost. I had another shock at the hospital yesterday. Having spleen removed as well now and 25% chance of a stoma. There are wont be much left of me!!! Enjoy life now and be proud because this takes a lot of bravery that only us special people can do. Haha big ourselves up. Xx
My goodness you are having a lot of surgery.. isn't it dreadful and so sad it's not picked up sooner... I'd never heard of OC but I'm an expert now! I wish you loads of luck for Monday and don't push yourself it's a massive operation and a shock to your body. You'll hurt once the epidural is removed and take as much pain relief offered. Once I was home it was Paracetemol only!!
I'm glad I've inspired you, I wanted to share my experience with you all. It's not over yet but it's spurring me on. I had to have BRCA1 &2 tests last week to see if I carry the breast cancer gene..I'll deal with that one next week.
Thank you Ann. Yes I'm pleased about the CA125. I had no idea you can't have it in Northern Ireland.. is this down to funding perhaps? It's all so wrong xx
