Hair loss and pimples on head!

Hi all,

My hair has almost completely gone again after 2nd session of chemo last Thursday, and this time, my head is covered in small little pimples!! They're not sore, but my head is very itchy. I've been putting coconut oil on it - has anyone experienced this or does anyone have any suggestions how to treat this?

Hi Juliet. When I lost my hair I had a similar thing, I eventually went to the Dr because it didnt seem right, surely I should have had a nice smooth scalp? Turns out I had an infection of the folicles. So a couple of days on antibiotics soon cleared it up. May be its worth getting your dr to have a look. Wishing you well. Kathy x

I got inflammation of the hair follicles both times. I just used some cream and it settled down. Was uncomfortable when trying to sleep tho.

Hi Juliet,I had the exact same thing.It turned out that eventhough you think all your hair has fallen out ,there might be a little bristle left.My hubby gave me a smooth shave and it took away the itching and discomfort.

Hi Juliet,

the itching drove me mad, I washed my scalp with fragrance free shampoo Sanex zero percent suited me best. I also massaged a small amount of Moo Udderly smooth cream every day. My scalp settled down straight away. Good luck
