It's not good news I'm afraid. My borderline disease has shown signs of change which are characteristic of low grade cancer. I've got to go and see a chemo DR is the next couple of weeks as they have recommended hormone treatment and a course of carboplatin. It's not what I wanted to hear but I suppose I'll just have to accept it and get on with it, love Kerry x

Oh Kerry , this must be a shock...so sorry. But it does sound as if you have a very good team looking after you and that whatever is there has been caught very early.

I don't know what to say....just sending you a hug.

They have been excellent from day one Charlie. I've had a small glass of wine tonight but Ive raised my glass to Mr C and told him he can do one as I've no intention of letting him win xx

Don't forget that treatment for low grade is developing. Was at my meeting with the consultant yesterday, and she was on about the mek, tyoscine kinase inhibitors, immunology, hormonal therapy and chemotherapy. She couldn't believe that I was still doing so well with avastin, into the 30's in amount of treatments lve received, especially as avastin responds mainly for high grade oc. Just shows we are all individual in response to treatment lol x

That's reassuring Welshrabbit, The whole chemo thing is new to me as I was borderline before and didn't need it. That was why it was a bit of a shock yesterday. Well done you on doing so well, it gives me hope xx

The chemotherapy is not bad , it's the unknown that's worse. I found out that I could have antisickness tablets that dissolve, which helped. I have now been dealing with this chronic disease for 5yrs, there is hope.

i had three scenarios in my head when I went yesterday, and chemo was one of them as my Consultant had already warned me, but it still came as a bit of a shock. I've been given some literature from the hospital and a lot was explained to me so I'm sort of prepared for what's going to happen. thanks Sherry xx

Sorry about your news. I am also being treated by Addenbrookes, & had some surgery done by a Mr C too. I have since had hormone treatment & two courses of chemo. I've a scan on Saturday, & dr appointment in couple of weeks.

I hope whatever treatment they advise for you does what they hope it will.
