Hi everyone

There is a support day being organised by Target ovarian cancer on the 18th April from 10am - 4pm. It will be at Maggie’s Merseyside, Clatterbridge Cancer Centre, Bebington, Wirral, CH63 4JY. The location is very close to M53. The event is designed to offer you practical, emotional and social support to help you live well with ovarian cancer. The day will utilise the expertise of Maggie’s facilitators to deliver a range of informative and supportive workshops on topics such as diet and nutrition, living well with cancer, relaxation and understanding benefits.

I have attended these events and they are great, you get to meet other ladies in the same position and it gives you a great deal of support. Please feel free to contact me as well if you want more info. If you live in the area please book a place.

If you would like to attend contact Sarah Jeffrey on 07714 750 866 or sjeffrey@targetovariancancer.org.uk

If you would like to know more or book a place online have a look at websitetargetovariancancer.org.uk/...

I'm glad you posted that up Sharon.

They're great events. I've attended two - one in Cardiff and another in Glasgow and enjoyed both of them and as you say meeting up with friends who are often made here online.

I shall be attending the one in BATH on 14 MAY. It's the same contacts at Target Ovarian Cancer to book that day.

It's 10:30 to 4:00 Macdonalds Bath Spa Hotel

To book the BATH event online go to the following URL:

Great opportunity for anyone in the Liverpool / Chester NorthWest area and as this one's on a Saturday hopefully will be useful for lots of women! I've been to quite a few organised and impromptu meetings with women who've also been diagnosed with OVCA and always come away feeling more informed, hopeful and with a smile on my face! I know Maggie's are expanding their services quite a bit in our area, with a new centre planned for Manchester soon as well as this one.

It can be daunting, but I am really sure that in taking a step to meet others, you won't regret it and some fabulous things might just happen!

Thanks for posting this! Sx

Hi pat

You should get an email from target ovarian cancer confirming your booking. If you don't in next couple of days give the office a ring and they will book you in.

Hope to meet you there.

I was diagnosed in November 11 with stage 3c. And found out a couple of years latter it was low grade. I had two lots of chemo with seven month break inbetween. Mine is also spread to peritunium. But I have now been stable for 20 months with no treatment.
