Hi, some people get no side effects whatsoever. I hope you continue this way, but be don't try to do too much!

Chris

Hi Dawn,

This is good news long may it last, best wishes love x G x

Hello dawn, yes I felt the same after the first chemo and to be honest I was not that much worse after the other four. Yes I slept a bit more for about three days after the chemo was given, but eat well etc etc.

A lot of ladies do not get the side effects that some other ladies do (its weird) so make the most of it and fingers are crossed for you to get through the whole chemo regime feeling the way you do now.

Dear Dawn

What you're experiencing is the 'norm' for some lucky ladies. I was one. After my surgery I had lost a lot of weight. I bought some new clothes. I wasn't working, I was eating well, taking lots of gentle exercise, sleeping well and enjoying life to the full.

I didn't feel a single side-effect from single-agent Carbo-Platin except I wanted to take things quietly. I'm not sure whether that was a side-effect of chemotherapy or just coming to terms with the enormity of what had happened to my mind and body over the previous 3 months or so.

I hope you can use the summer months to build up your strength and enjoy the current wonderful weather.

Darling, don't knock it. As above, we all differ. I was knocked out with some effects, but no nausea, and kind of kept waiting for it the whole time which, looking back, was a bit of a waste of worry energy!

See it as a good sign too, we do have a sixth sense about out bodies and it augers well that you feel good; if it carries on through you will be able to pick up your life with a bit less of a jerk once chemo finishes, which is great.

Do not let the feeling ok with chemo fool you: you MUST still take it easy if you are to get over the op itself safely and slowly... No overdoing things!

Love

Dear Dawn,

I'm so pleased for you. I had pretty awful side effects kicking in a couple of days after the chemo and lasting for three or four days each time. It's funny how different people react in different ways.

Eating well, exercise and rest is all good advice during chemo. They all help towards getting through a difficult time.

I do hope that you continue to feel as good during chemo.

Love

Dawnie, first two are always not bad at all. Third one is harder but since you are not having taxol maybe it wont be worse. pleased for you.

BLESS YOU . . . I WAS NOT SO LUCKY. I HAVE HAD ONE TREATMENT (SECOND ONE TODAY) OF CARBO/TAXOL. I HAVE NOT FELT WELL THE ENTIRE THREE WEEKS. BUT I AM ALSO ON HUGE DOSES OF PREDNISONE FOR AN ARTHRITIS FLARE. I KEPT WAITING TO FEEL BETTER AND IT JUST NEVER CAME. DAYS TWO THROUGH SIX I HAD LOTS OF PAIN. BE GRATEFUL. I WOULD HOPE WE COULD ALL FEEL SO GOOD. I HOPE IT CONTINUES FOR YOU.

We're all individual. I felt foul when I had the treatment and was beside myself but I do know that others here have had a different experience. I was better on the third week and tried to do something nice as a treat before the next infusion. So glad you're coping well. Love Tina x

Hello, Dawn.

Everytime I complain to my onc about side effects he says he has older patients that receive the same chemo like a walk in a park... Or, in portuguese, like eating a chewing gum.

Unhappily I'm not between them, so very glad to hear you are between these luck woman.

Hugs, Fernanda
