GRIFFS SCAN RESULTS

RESULTS IN. .Had scan results today and no cancer in major organs.Lots of deposits elsewhere so treatment will be chemo.First batch 8 cycles.Scan near end to see if responding.Life expectancy increased from news of 6 months last week to 12 months or 2 to 4 years or bit more but of course they cant determine that.Anyway not so bleak as last week but of course still a battle to fight.I am ready to face the enemy and keep that positivity that I"ve managed to keep for the last couple of years.Thoughts with you all

Hi Griff fantastic news. I got almost the same results myself yesterday. Had a scan last week and the report was all good. Just finished a course of chemo and now 3 months getting strong before we review treatments again. You are right to stay strong and positive, the big "C" doesn't like it when we fight back. make sure you tell all of your friends and relatives that have been strong for you of the good news.

Ok - so breathe again , square those shoulders and let battle commence - again. It's an absolute sod you all have to go brought this again but the news yesterday could have been so very much worse and gives you cause to go on with determined strength and we know you have that in spades. We never know do we when "it" is going to raise its ugly head again , we can only keep strong and vigilant and determined and take comfort in our families and friends and the knowledge that our docs have a huge armada of weapons at their dispersal - sorry for all the battle analogies - but that's what it feels like most of the time !! I am truly pleased that the news yesterday was more positive.

Fondest wishes

Hi Griff,

Brilliant news that your major organs are in the clear and they can offer chemo. There seems to be quite a few members who have had a really good response to chemo and its affect has been so positive. The picture sounds a lot more promising now thank heavens! Talk about the world turning upside down:) Good luck with the treatment and all best wishes.

Hi Griff

Such good news and more reason than ever to fight and be strong as you have been through the last couple of years. This is truly a trying time in your life but your positivity has got you this far so keep it up as I am sure that is what has kept Paolo going too. Hopefully you will also gain some strength in the knowledge that so many people care about you and are praying for you (me included). Sending you and your family so much love and tons of positive energy. Keep strong for the fight ahead.

Tons of love and hugs
