Yes and yes. Things should settle down. Good luck with the colonoscopy.

I would be interested to hear how you both got on. I was unable to drink anywhere near the full amount of moviprep and also found the position needed for the colonoscopy was so uncomfortable that the procedure was not completed. I now have to do prep all over again for a special C T scan. And yes and yes to the palpitations

The moviprep was horrid and it made me vomit. I am not good at drinking copious amounts of liquid, my body just cant deal with it. There is another type of prep which requires less to flush through the system. Apparently i was meant to have that and the staff gave me the wrong prep.

The procedure was uncomfortable, i had gas and air. All was well thereafter and no issues were found.

Interesting, perhaps I should have had something else. Will as,k when I get scan appointment. I had sedation and gas and Air and still didn't succeed. I think sometimes the surgeons forget to make others aware of the consequences of Ivor Lewis when it comes to food and drink. I was in Nottingham City hospital after emergency surgery and it was days before they accepted that I was never going to get through a normal size meal. They didn't have access to notes from Derby and of course the patients are not to be believed until they tell you something every day for a week!

Thanks everyone for your replies, it was my husband taking the moviprep, we ended up ringing 111 and was advised not to take the 2nd dose. He went for the appointment as he was also having an endoscopy as well the dr did the endoscopy but would not do the colonoscopy as he said it would put him at too much risk if his bowels were not empty. Booked him in for another but will take picolax which does not cause AF.
