Loperamide has not worked for me at all but my problems have been episodic, not chronic. Lomotil stops it dead in less than a day but is, of course, and opiate requiring a prescription in the US.

I am on about 4 to 6 this Loperamide 2mg every day I have very bad diarrhoea EVERYDAY.
