Just wanted to share a but of good news amid all the uncertainty we are experiencing. Today is the 13th anniversary of the operation I had for oesophageal cancer. I've had good days and bad but with support from my wonderful family I've battled on. Thanks also to this website for all the advice. Stay safe everyone and keep smiling there is light at the end of the tunnel !!!

Congratulations: that is truly excellent news. I have just passed five years from diagnosis and will be five years post-Ivor Lewis in June. Having undertaken an MA since then, I commenced my PhD in September of last year. Every day a victory.

You are one of the lucky ones Tinypuss, as is my husband who is nearly 85 and 8.5 years since diagnosis. We do know it. Just sending best wishes to everyone on this wonderful site as we cope with the C virus as well as our oesophageal issues.
