Anyone tried IQORO for reflux?

Hello, I was wondering if anyone has tried the IQORO device for reflux. I saw the gadget advertised in the back of a newspaper and it's apparently being trialled in some NHS regions. The device claims to be able to fix reflux and swallowing difficulties. I have CREST syndrome (scleroderma) and a hiatus hernia. I'd be keen to try this as it says people who use it can give up medication. Anyone tried it? The device's website is: iqoro.com Mnay thanks.

hi Shona I have an Iqoro and have used it three times a day for last 4 months, I can’t say there’s been any improvement in my reflux symptoms. I will keep it up for a year or more & see how it goes.

Hi Spike,

thanks so much for posting. Sorry to hear the Iqoro hasn't improved things yet. Maybe it will start to work soon. I really hope so. Thanks again for getting in touch and all the best.

Hi Shona

Many thanks for the link. Very good to read the FAQ section.

Muscular issues are unique to individuals along with underlying conditions.

Also if the underlying HH has been existed for much longer, then proportionally it will take longer to gain back. And this will obviously vary between individuals.

But a good option to try before further intrusive treatments in root cause or the worst acid management medications.

I would have tried this 6 times a day if it was available and known few years back. I am now 2 years post oesophagectomy.

Hi Mauser,

Thanks so much for your reply . Much appreciated. As you say, everyone is so unique with their specific issues and conditions. The Iqoro is certainly inetresting, though I'm yet to find anyone in the UK, independent of the company's website, who has used is successfully. But apparently it is being trialled with a couple of NHS departments.

I hope your surgery was successful and that you've had relief. Oesophical problems are so horrible. All the very best and thanks again.

Hi Shona,

I wonder if you manage to find unbiased users.delartments wont share info either. Bit too early.

On a scale of 1 to 10 how you rate your daily life affected due to the reflux. 10 being extreme worse? If you don't mind me asking.

Tha ks for your well wishes.
