Multiple problems - overwhelmed

Over the past few months I've been diagnosed with a type Iv hiatus hernia with gastric volvulis. I developed asthma probably from the silent reflux and the loss of about 20% of my chest cavity. In preparing for surgery it was determined that I have type 3 achalasia. I also found out I have multiple very large liver cysts. I'm overwhelmed as three of these conditions are considered rare. I'm getting surgery for the hernia but the achalsia has thrown. I had issues but didn't realize the seriousness of the condition

Feel for you. I’m sure you will be in good hands. Take each step at a time.Hope the surgery helps you. Have they given you anything for the reflux? If not take Gaviscon advance and prop up your pillows before sleeping.

Best wishes

Debbie
