Putnams bed wedge

Does anyone want a brand new bed wedge for £15? My husband tried it for an hour under the sheet and can't get on with it. We live in west Norfolk (King's Lynn).

I brought a wedge pillow and forever slipping down, but perservered with different pillow arranging and now would not do without it. Took it with me on holiday.

Glad it works for you, but my husband is refusing to use it. As advised by others, also tried under the mattress (all of 5 mins!!). I just thought perhaps someone else in our area would have need of one. It's such a specialist item, that I couldn't think where else to post it.

I think i meant to say, i didnot get on with the wedge at first and was ready to discarded it, but glad i kept at it and don't even know its there.Find it more comfortable than the hospital bed , never could get the tilt right.

My husband and I purchased two (2) while in Texas where my surgery was done - for the motel where we stayed and I had to start my recovery before flying home. Awful is all I can say about the wedge "pillows"- BUT - that was back in 2009 and I am sure that just like everything else they have improved over time. It was like having your head inclined onto a piece of cement. Honestly, that is the best description I have for that thing.

Well, like most aids, some people find them invaluable (see previous posts!) and others not. Some people have even sworn by adjustable beds, some sleep upright in adjustable chairs. My husband is refusing all of these and says he is managing very well with 3 plump pillows. It's all down to the individual. I only advertised the bed wedge I bought to see if anyone else needed, or wanted to try, one at half price. I hate to see a brand new wedge, which has a very small test under the sheet/mattress going to waste! Kate

Kate - thank you for your input on my input. I was in no way insinuating that it was a bad idea to try and sell it and I totally agree that what is good for one of us isn't for another and vice versa. I was just airing my own opinion. Guess I should have kept it to myself!

I have gone from that wedge to pillows to an awesome adjustable bed only to end up sleeping upright in a comfortable recliner - that I do not recline. I am hoping to some day be able to revert back to the adjustable bed.

Didn't mean to offend you and I'm sorry if I did! Of course you are entitled to share your views and personal experience - that's what this site is all about. It never ceases to amaze me how resilient and resourceful people are with this dreadful disease and how much the sharing of experiences helps others. When my husband received his diagnosis l went into overdrive - seeking out info, life afterwards etc etc. The only thing I can say with any certainty is that everyone is different - in how they handle their individual effects and deal with their adjustments to the life changes. I think we both agree that what works for one, may or may not work for another - but the sharing of tips and advice is invaluable. I have definitely found it so anyway.

I tried to get my husband to agree to an adjustable bed - but he is as stubborn as a mule about that too! It's early days for us just yet as he's only 4 weeks post-op, so we shall just have to wait and see. He is the best judge of what is comfortable for him, so I shall have to quit my nagging!

Does anyone want this Putnams wedge for free? My husband tried it for about 10mins and doesn't want it. As I said, it's free to anyone who can collect from King's Lynn. I would hate to see it just thrown away and the charity shops are not allowed to take bedding apparently!
