Does anyone on this site spend literally for or more house a day vomiting hacking out thick clear like gel mucus or white frothy mucus, wether they have eaten or not, the build up of pressure in the gut lets you know it is there because you can barely breathe..... thanks carol

Hi , I have a persistent mucus cough and bring up loads of rubbish, but, it’s only after I have eaten . If I don’t eat I am fine, no cough. All x-rays, scans are clear so consultants have no idea what is causing this problem . Would appreciate any feedback. Thanks .

Hi panic you need to see a good gastro consultant about your gullet and valves cos that is what they found is wrong with me and now it’s got so bad there is nothing they can do about it, good luck xx carol

Hi Panic . Mine started with a cough that went on and on . Was given lansoprazole by GP then referred to hospital. Found out I had large tear - hiatus hernia . I would go back to GP . With me it depended who I saw . Have you had barium meal or endoscope yet ?

Hi carol thanks so much for replying , I shall suggest it to my consultant at my next appointment as he doesn’t seem to have a clue what’s causing it and it’s been ongoing for the last five years, long enough I think. I hope you have some relief with your condition soon. God bless x

I suggest the clear mucus is probably the stomach lining. Remember your new oesophagus is made from your stomach, which is still producing a lining. If it is very gellinatus and seems to stretch forever without breaking it is probably the stomach lining. When you are about to eat it triggers the production.

Hi everyone, My wife has developed the same issue 4 years after the operation. Clear foam welling up and this can carry on for hours. This normally happens after a meal, sometimes meat or fish triggers this, or anything else that did not react yesterday will cause this reaction today. Sometimes taking an Omez an hour before the meal helps. I hope somebody has a good suggestion. We are retired and resting well in South Africa.
