Hi I thought I would let all the nice people who answered my post about my husbands diagnoses. . We saw the consultant today at the Beatson and she explained the treatment he's to have . He's to have a picc line fitted , then he could stay in the hospital for 5 days chemo or 1day and get a pump fitted for the next 4 days chemo at home . He has to have 6 cycles , after 3 they will give him a scan to see if it's shrinking the tumour if it is they will do the other 3 and then another laparoscopy and depending how that goes they will offer him the operation . Has anyone else been through this treatment and could let me know how it went ? Thanks for reading my post , as you will all understand it's a worrying time . Jane x

Hi I had different chemo of ECX 1 Day infusion and tablets for 21 x3 cycles then a scan before operation. I hope all goes well as soon as treatment starts you get swept along with it. I kept a diary and recorded how I felt each day ,so knew what to expect each Cycle. Also had 3 cycles after op.

Best wishes

Debbie

Hi Debbie , thank you for sharing your experience with me about your chemo . I always thought you got your chemo once then had a rest period before your next . That's why we were surprised to be told it was a 5 day cycle . I hope you are well now ? Jane x

I hope it answers some of your questions but feel free to talk to me anytime. I am on the register for helping those just diagnosed in Lincolnshire and Nottingham but also here to help and support. you can email me at: bryan.parker@talk21.co.uk if you need to get in touch.

Kind regards
