hi im mew to all this.ive had ocd,mow for years now.nobody seems to realise how
bad it gets.it all started with me,for no aperant reason,i exposed myself throu a
window of my house.and was seen.resulting in court case,fined,and probation
I pleaded guilty by the way.i asked for help to wy I did this.got noware,it happened
again allthis time ive pleaded for help.courts don't want to know of ocd? im in trouble now facing jail and contemplating taking my own life.dos anyother one
with ocd gone throu the same.i feel as if am alone.
It sounds like two separate problems to me. I'm not qualified to make a diagnosis, but I think the exposing yourself is a different problem to your OCD.
I don't think the courts are really in a position to deal with your problem, and it would be worth asking your probation officer, if you have one, if you can be referred to a mental health team for both of your problems. If not, then ask your GP to refer you. There is help there, and it sounds as though you need it.
I'm afraid that the courts don't always haven't the expertise or the resources to address mental health issues of people who come before them. There are too many people in prison with mental health problems, and it's often the wrong place for them.
It's difficult to ask for help when you are feeling vulnerable, but do make sure you ask, and ask the right people.
The electric shock treatment isn't really used now. It's considered old-fashioned and there are better drug treatments and cognitive behavioural therapy.
Do talk to your probation officer or GP about getting some treatment. It's their job, and once you are referred to a team you should start being able to deal with your problems.

sertraline by hospital,probation sent me on a coarse lasting 9months,it invoveld
sitting round with sex afenders,who have all been in jail,talking to each other,
for me who had never ,even been in a police station before allthis,was not very
pleasant.i did not fit in from the start.the probation people sent me on this coarse
even thou I was under woodlans hostspital.hospital then withdrew from my treatment.o sallyskins all this has contributed to my thinking of taking my life.
Possibly the sex offenders you were on the course with were convicted of more serious crimes than just 'flashing'. That could be why you felt you didn't fit in.
Do get in touch with your probation officer again, or your GP. There is more treatment available out there. Don't for a minute consider taking your own life. There are ways out of your situation. If it gets too much for you, why not phone the Samaritans. They can listen, and won't condemn you.
