So I'm new to this site and I've been looking for a forum for trichotillomania / trich and I've done some searching but the closest I could find was this forum as I'm not sure on the boarder lines of trich and if it's slightly compulsive?

It certainly is included under the OCD heading. So is compulsive skin picking, which I have experienced. The problem is that even the best books on OCD don't really have very much about these particular conditions, though I gather that Fred Penzel has written about this problem in some of his work.

It's difficult to combat, I know. I have even sat on my hands to stop myself picking. Do let me know if you have any tips!

It's all really down to you being able to resist :/ I struggle but I've narrowed down from pulling at my brows now I rub hard, I really wish I could stop but it's so hard

It helps at least to restrict yourself to one area. I know just how intense the urge can be.
