Total knee replacements

Am due to have double knee replacements am a bit scared anybody had the double!

Hi I am still waiting unfortunately I had a heart attack blast June and the anethnatist said it was too risky so I’m having to wait until after June this year!! Thanks for asking!!

Sorry to hear about your heart attack. When it rains, it pours! I’ve been run in circles by doctors regarding my bilateral knee pain. Just had arthroscopy on one back in October. Then, they thought maybe it was my lower back causing the pain. So a lumbar MRI and an epidural injection. Helped my back and thigh pain. Finally, got a third opinion yesterday, from a knee surgeon who works at another hospital. Looks like I will need both knees replaced. I’m 57. Too many years playing softball at third base and knee injuries through time. But, going to try cortisone mixed with Synvisc at the same time. Doc is hopeful I can make it a couple more years before replacement. Best wishes for your surgery in June! Keep us posted...I want to know what I’m in for😁

Oh, and my original knee surgeons nurse had both replaced at once, a couple years ago and did great. It takes someone with the strength and determination to do both at once. I’m not that person. Also, I’m told, they pretty much stopped doing both knees at once here in Bismarck, ND, where I’m from.
