Dmards are Disease Modifying Arthritis Disease drugs or something similAr name!! r. They actually prevent the progress of RA and thus stop joint damage and help with your symptomss. The DAS score is a number to see how active your disease is Disease Activity Score* over a certain number for three assessments you may be eligible for anti. Tnf (biological) drugs. The nras website has loads of info on them! Hugs A. X

DMARDS= disease modifying anti-rheumatic drugs, and there a number of different ones that can be prescribed to help us. DAS= disease activity score, which is a method used from scores on blood tests and physical examination and your opinion of how you feel to work out how active the disease is in you. It helps you assess how you're doing as well. Look at nras.org.uk , and there's lots of useful information about the disease and the treatments.
