I tried fosomax and had stomach issues, so now they would like for me to try the twice a year shot, any advice or any down sides you may have had? Thanks in advance.

Hello Sagil

I couldn't tolerate bisphosponates either and am wating to know if I will be given one of the injected/infused drugs instead. I don't know about Prolia but wondered if you have looked at the National Osteoporosis Society Website for information? I can also recommend their helpline which is staffed by specialist osteoporosis nurses. I found them very helpful when I called them for advice.

Good luck with the Prolia if you go ahead with it and hope it helps.

My rheumy wants me to start on Prolia as soon as it is available over here (I live in France). Apparently apart from treating osteoporosis it is also supposed to be beneficial to RA, although I can't remember why. Good luck with it.
