Arthritis New Zealand's New Study - Ginger - how effective is it for arthritis?

It is interesting that Arthritis New Zealand are undertaking a study on the effectiveness of ginger therapy for osteoarthritis.

There is some preliminary evidence that ginger might be helpful for reducing osteoarthritis pain. Different studies have shown differing degrees of benefit, possibly because ginger seems to take many months to start working. Some studies may have been stopped too early.

Ginger therapy is a heat and relaxation therapy that has been found effective in relieving pain. It has been used for arthritis symptoms in specialist clinics in Europe for decades and traditional Chinese medicine hospitals in China for hundreds of years.

We will wait with interest for the results of this research.

Interesting blog. Ginger is a warming spice and creates heat so I would imagine it could be good for all types of arthritis. I understand that hot peppers and chillies have the same effect as well. Would be interesting to

see what results they come up with. LavendarLady x
