HI Sylvi

Do you have an ergo friendly keyboard? They do help as I also have problems with the normal ones.

I have an ergonomic shaped one( I have pc not laptop) the keyboard is made by microsoft and you can sometimes find it at places like large Tesco's, Morrisons and obviously Pc Shops for £15 approx..

Also by playing around today My Pc has the capabiltity of on screen key board

click on all programs on pc start button, then go to accessories on bar menu, across to acessibiltity and behold an on screen key board appears, think it may be slow but it could be an option. You point and click using mouse.

I just typed the " you click and point using mouse", with it bit slow but v precise

It just seemed to happen since i've been in pain. I'm a stickler for trying to get the right spelling and punchuation. Not sure if i spelt that right. Its just i see that others on here seem to have same problem, whereas i have to keep going back to change my mistakes. It frustrates the hell out of me i can tell you.

Mine is a laptop, hubby brought me for my birthday.

The on screen key board option is still prob on its software xx

As you may have noticed I sometimes post without checking for typos, shouldnt worry about the odd little blip on the typing front xx

I'm sying that you don't check or anything like that,it just seems that a lot of us seem to have the same problem, and i was wondering if it affected you all as it does me. every time i put a post up i always make mistakes,a lot more than (ujust put u instead of i) i nused to.See what i mean. I think its because my fingers are in a lot of pain and swollen. Its just soooo frustrating.

go and buy some software called dragon naturally speaking then you dont have to use so much keyboard as you speak into a mike and it types it for you

Thats a good idea, but i'm a stubborn old bird, its just my fingers have a life of their own. While i can correct it before i post i will.I have heard of the system your talking about as it was about when my daughter was young as she is dyslexic and it was being put forward for the children who were severly dyslexic.

I will look at it when i can't use my fingers anymore.

Sylvi.

Ps. thanks

OHMYGOSH! I do that all the time. My fingers have become more slanted, so I am constantly hitting the key next to the one I want, usually it prints both, so I have to proof-read everything! I get alot of s's next to a's, and l's and t's together. Ha! Another similarity :) Hope your day is going good!

Loretta, its 5.30am in the morning and i'm tired again. Well my love i'm glad i'm not the only one who has this problem,it never used to be a problem until recently. My fingers just press what they want to. It just seems odd that my fingers do what they want. There has been some good ideas on here about software,i'm just not ready to go there. I've lost so much these last two years,i'm not prepared to do go the whole hog yet.

It must be evening where you are. Hope your well.

Sylvie, I am just whoopped! Had 4 friends here for a birthday lunch on Weds, spent yesterday being very inactive! Just plain worn out. Reported such to my Rehumy, told him it seems to be constant more now, I was so good and active this summer. He said it's this awful Northern Ohio weather, and he didn't know of anything that might make me feel less weary. I said except coffee? He agreed, he drinks coffee all day. He himself has had two back surgeries, with fusions, so he is very compassionate. Anyways, going to hit the mattreess.

Hope you have a pleasant weekend! Only 2 more weeks. I am no where's near ready! Cheers, Loret XXX

Oh my darlin i feel for you. Weds i went to visit family in cambridgeshire to take xmas presents down. I was wiped out by i can tell you. I'm supposed to go to birmingham today and it will be a long one as grace is performing at a tattoo at the n.i.a. I'm not sure yet if i'm going or not. My heads telling me to go and my body is reading from a different hymn sheet. I've had a better nights sleep, but my knee is very painful,i think my ligaments are the ones causing me concern this morning. I agree about the weather as its been awful here as well so even though its probally not as bad as you get its been sooo cold.

You take care my love and sleep well.

Hi, I know what you mean I've got a really funky keyboard that can be used flat as a 'normal' one or can be split I half to tilt it at an angle upwards and sidewards if that makes sense. It's been an absolute godsend since my left wrist was fused. Can't remember the make of it but if you want it let me know and I will put it on the site when I've been into work and looked at it

I have a laptop tray, which is sloping,is that what you mean. I go to press an a and i get an e,how daft is that. I go to press the space bar and get nothing. Its not the laptop as i had it for my birthday this year. Its comical really how my hands now work.
