Got My Appointment Through.

So the letter dropped though the door this morning. First appointment with the Rheumatologist is set for 25th March. In the scheme of things I suspect that is a pretty quick refferal. Not too sure what the wait time is here.

By the by though, It gives me something to focus on and also plenty of time to do some homework and research.

Found another small nodule today on the first finger of my left hand. Ill be sure to let my GP know when I see him next week.

One thing I am discovering is that I have to try to pace myself each day. Im sure thats something everyone is familiar with. The fatigue is really hard to deal with.

I find my mind is way ahead of itself at times. Lots of things to consider. But....all in all I'm managing to stay reasonably positive.

Hope everyone is doing as well as they can. My thoughts are with you all.

Take care, X

Well done on appointment the fatigue is a real nuisance for us all.. a referal in less than three months is good x

Yes show the GP the nodule as it's a classic RA symptom and take photos of swollen joints - just in case the visible signs decide to don an invisibility cloak on the day of your appointment. You are at the worst possible stage I think - lots of room for improvement and regaining your life and mobility I'm sure. You could always phone the hospital and tell them that you would be happy with a last minute cancellation and explain how much pain you are currently in perhaps? They might fast track you then. Hey Tilda and summer. Good to know my referral is quite fast in the scheme of things. I see my GP next week, and he did say he would gee the hospital up for me if need be. I feel really lucky. So many folks seem to have long waits and/or GPs who are not as good as they could/should be. If its of any help to others I am in the South West...Bristol and things appear to move along quite quickly here.

Take care both :)

Great news that u will get some advice very soon now!

Fatigue us definitely the worse problem for me, well next to pain and brain fog!!! Take a list of questions as you get a short time to explain everything and photos of your swelling and nodules as its Sod's law that they r not so obvious on the day of the appointment! Also I found taking someone with me if possible helpful, as they took in what I had missed. So great step forward :)
