NRAS and the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) are delighted to announce that Health Minister, Paul Burstow MP, has agreed to take part in a live webchat to mark this year’s World Arthritis Day on 12 October.

To coincide with this year’s theme of ‘Move to Improve’, NRAS and CSP will be launching a new report about RA-related physiotherapy on World Arthritis Day. Join us live, online from 11.45-12.30pm, Wednesday, 12 October 2011 for what we anticipate will be a lively discussion about the report’s findings and other issues related to long-term conditions.

Questions will be put to the Minister by our Chief Executive, Ailsa Bosworth, and Phil Gray, Chief Executive of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy. You can submit your questions in advance through the comments field on the Department of Health’s website at: webchat.dh.gov.uk/, or via Twitter mentioning @dhgovuk and using the hashtag #raphysio You will also be able to ask questions and leave comments live during the webchat.

As a further bonus, the Minister is also writing a guest blog ahead of the live webchat, so please stay tuned for further details.

As you know, we are trying to get NRAS members more involved in our direct campaigning activities. This is the first time we have organised a webchat like this, so please join in and make sure it is a success. If it goes well, then we may end up organising further webchats with politicians and officials around different RA-related issues.

Good luck everyone!

Hi Cheryl,

Thanks for your comment. The webchat will be 'typed' rather than audio visual. You can tune into it by visiting this special link at the Department of Health website: webchat.dh.gov.uk/ and leaving your questions in advance, or you can use Twitter to tweet them in advance by mentioning @dhgovuk and using the hashtag #raphysio

Go on and leave a question! This is your chance to get involved!
