The next step is possibly Anti-tnf, but another DMARD may also help. It is a sort of trial and error process, that may sound insensitive but it is the only way to find out what suits and help us.

You will eventually find a good regime of drugs that will help control your RA, how long that will last know one knows, we are all different in that way.

What suits some doesn't suit others and we don't' know that until we try the drugs available to us.

Don't give up, something will suit you soon.

Take care

Hi Jo,

Mand is right Im on the anti tnf path at the moment and still havent gotten relief yet, but I am hoping there is something else to try next.

Everyone is different like Mand says, we just have to keep our hope that something will work soon!

Take care

ring the rheumy and get back in- im sure they will add something along with the mtx inj- thats what my option was if mine did not settle back down but thankfully it sorted itself out---kind of! best of luck with it

Thank you for all your reply's. I went to clinic with the rheumy nurse last week. They have kept my MXT at 20, and I started taking sulfasalazine inc from 1 a day to 4 a day over 4 weeks. I have had some dizzy spells and little nausea, but all in all, dare I say feeling a little better !
