What a beautiful for doing nought.......

Evening all, well what a lovely day we have had. I hope that those of you who could get out did, and for those that didn't/couldn't well i am sorry for you as its been the best day of the year. I have always been one of those people that thrive in the sun,not so much these days. As it has been so hot so quickly my ra doesn't like the sudden rise in the heat. It makes my joints ache like hell.

Well yesterday as you all know i was resting as best as i could. I really didn't do much at all. Daughter had gone to malia in crete so it was just me and hubby. He spent a second day sorting the shed out in the garden that hasn't been emptied since he put it up. My role was to sit and watch and make the tea, which i happily did.

Today after i got up, and it was a very good nights sleep as well. I sat with the papers for a little while. Hubby was going to go to the tip if he could find the jump leads as the rubbish for the tip was in our old car and the battery had gone flat again. So i went up the village and down to the allotment for him. I got some marrows, courgettes and more runner beans which no doubt i will be topping and tailing tomorrow. Got a bit of shopping in the spar and came home. Got all the way home and found that some crisps that was in the bag behind me was missing. So off i scoots to retrace my steps to find them thinking someone would have snaffled them by now. Got all the way back to just before the spar and there thay sat. So that was two trips up the village.

After a bit of lunch we went to a produce fair in the next village to us to see a friend who had a stall selling homemade cards and i got some of them as well to support her. She is a good friend to me in that she and her hubby often come to see me. It was really warm over , there was no wind and i really caught the sun.

Now i'm home after a chinese takeaway thought i would sit and write a bit for you all. Well my hands are very sore and i am finding it difficult to walk as my right leg doesn't want to play today and it is giving me some gype. My hands are both feeling hot and oh so thick and chunky. My head is still in a good place despite the pain. I have taken my pills and i will depart and go for a nice bath. Yes the second one since the new boiler has been fitted.

Hope you all have a lovely evening.........xx

Thanks for news of your busy day. I had a great day with my youngest, fiona who is ten. We were at a science festival which was brilliant. We learnt loads about renewable energy, took part in workshops with doctors and even met some young arctic explorers. So good to engage my brain and share such a special day with my very smart little girl. Just going out to pick up my 13 year old who has been in a lads day out to watch Scotland play football in Glasgow. Hope you sleep well. I know I will. X Jo

A perfect, laid-back Saturday! Sorry you are having some pain but it's the state of mind that matters most (I think, anyway) & it is great to hear you sounding so contented Sylvi. Enjoy the rest of the weekend.

Christina xx
