Hi, there have been loads of conversation relating to methotrexate. Type it into the search box at the top of the page and it should bring up loads of them.
I've been on it since about 1995 and fortunately have had no side effects (fingers crossed it stays that way). My mtx are tablets, 3 a week on a Friday, plus folic acid on Monday and Wednesday. Some people have mtx by injection as you will read.
Hope this helps.

hi judi im starting mtx in 3 weeks time the hospitial want me to go on a study with them im not sure what to do also my blood test come stateing that my immune system was all over the place and the numbers they quoted was very high in my blood one was normal and the other went of the scales 1000 so my lungs are open to infections if anyone can help please do
As Judi says, there's lots of info out there but as I was 47 when diagnosed last year I thought I'd say hello. I think the thing I didn't know was that, because this disease affects everyone in different ways, it would take a long time to know whether a drug would work & which dose would be effective. You will see stories of side effects or success with every drug, again we're all different so don't let the bad reports frighten you. As well as dealing with the treatments you're also coming to terms with the implications of this diagnosis, and that's where this group will be very valuable. There are lots of wonderful people who've been through it all and are generous with their support.
